Foot for sewing decorative strings into the edge of the material - so-called piping.

The piping foot is ideal for creating and sewing decorative cords or pieces of material into fabric - piping. The markings on the foot are practical aids for guiding the material. The #L16 S and #C16 S presser feet are designed for lightweight fabrics and piping with a maximum diameter of 3 mm. The #L16 L and #C16 L presser feet are suitable for medium and heavy weight fabrics and piping with a diameter of 3 to 5 mm. The XL piping foot allows you to create and sew piping with a diameter of 6 to 10 mm. This foot is suitable for 3- or 4-thread overlock stitches, and the height of the guide groove can be adjusted to the diameter of the piping by pressing it down.

The appearance of the presser foot may differ from the one in the photo. This is because the presser foot for each BERNINA overlock model looks slightly different.

    In this video, well show you how to create piping using the BERNINA piping feet on the L 8 series overlockers. With BERNINA piping feet and the L8xx series overlockers, you can easily create personalized piping for a variety of projects. The groove on the bottom of the foot ensures smooth and even piping guidance. The L16 L presser foot is designed for a 5mm piping on the L 8 series overlockers (L 850 and L 860). The L16 S presser foot is designed for a 3mm piping on the same machines. The C16 L presser foot is designed for a 5mm piping on the L 890 overlock/coverstitch combo machine. The C16 S presser foot is designed for a 3mm piping on the same machine.
