Embroidery tips
- 1. The correct tension of the fabric on the hoop is very important for the quality of the embroidery. Use a stabilizer appropriate to the type and thickness of the material. When loading the fabric, loosen the screw sufficiently to avoid damaging the hoop frames.
Place the outer hoop frame on a flat, stable surface, then place the stabilizer and fabric over it. Place the smaller hoop on top and press down. When the fabric is taut on the hoop, do not stretch it any more, as this will cause the embroidery to be distorted when the hoop is removed. - 2. Use a fine (40), good quality embroidery thread for the upper thread and a fine bobbin thread.
- 3. Use new 80 gauge Schmetz needles or embroidery needles for special threads or fabrics - 70/11 needle for fine fabrics, 90/14 needle for heavier fabrics.
- 4. Iron the finished embroidery from the left side.
