This foot is perfect for sewing with the so-called "free hand", i.e. with the feed teeth lowered. Ideal for darning holes and worn areas. When combined with the hoop, the darning process becomes easier, because the hoop stabilizes the fabric. This foot can also be used to create decorative elements, such as lace or monograms.
