FUNCTIONS AND CAPABILITIES OF THE BERNINA Q24

HUGE workspace

The BERNINA Q24 has the largest workspace of any BERNINA longarm, at 24 inches (approx. 61 cm) . This distance between the needle bar and the body makes it ideal for very large patchwork and quilting projects. This is the most professional BERNINA machine. Huge, fast, precise, and reliable. It's equipped with everything designed for quilting.

Integrated BERNINA BSR system

The BERNINA Q24 is equipped with an integrated stitch regulator – the BERNINA BSR dual laser system – which significantly simplifies free-motion quilting. Two sensors located under the needle plate precisely register the movement of the fabric. This latest solution is an extension of the BERNINA BSR system known from sewing machines. The stitch length is minimum 1.05 mm (24 spi) and maximum 25.4 mm (1 spi).

The BERNINA BSR Laser Stitch Regulator ensures even, aesthetically pleasing stitches of uniform length when free-motion quilting . It responds to fabric movement and automatically adjusts sewing speed to match the fabric's speed. The BSR regulator is the perfect solution for ambitious, professional projects.

BSR in the Q24 model offers three modes:

1. The needle moves constantly, even when you stop moving the fabric – perfect for corners.
2. The needle stops with the material – no knots, perfect for working with rulers.
3. Basting mode: choose 1, 2 or 4 stitches per inch – quilting without safety pins!

Individual functions and parameters are activated via the touchscreen. Manual mode is also available.

Digital thread tension adjustment

Electronically controlled and numerically set upper thread tension allows for easy adjustment of thread tension. Additionally, settings for favorite thread types can be saved in memory.

Extreme quilting speed

The BERNINA Q24 longarm sewing machine can sew at a maximum speed of an impressive 2,200 stitches per minute!

BERNINA industrial rotary hook class "M"

The machine features a modern, industrial BERNINA "M" class rotary hook. It's paired with a large metal bobbin case that allows for the use of high-capacity "M" class bobbins. The increased bobbin capacity allows for more thread to be wound, significantly reducing the number of times it takes to change threads.

Integrated bobbin winder

The built-in "M" class bobbin winder allows you to quickly and conveniently prepare a spool of thread. The bobbin winder has an independent motor.

Easy and intuitive threading

Thanks to the clear and concise upper threading diagram, preparing the machine for work is quick and intuitive. All elements through which the thread passes are easily accessible and within easy reach. Threading becomes child's play, and working with the machine is a pure pleasure. The built-in needle threader allows for quick and easy machine preparation.

Large 4.3" touchscreen and intuitive interface

A large, interactive touchscreen with gesture control, icons with text descriptions, and intuitive interactions makes stitching easier than ever. The system also features built-in tutorials and integrated help functions with animations and videos. The control system is fully customizable to your needs. Available features include five user profiles, a stitch counter, and individual appearance settings.

Bright LED lighting

The machine is equipped with 50 bright LEDs distributed along the entire arm and around the needle, evenly illuminating the entire work area. This ensures excellent visibility even in darker rooms, enabling precise quilting and comfortable work regardless of lighting conditions.

Compatible with semi-flat needles, including double needles

You don't need special needles designed exclusively for one machine. Use the same needles you use on other sewing machines. You can also use a twin needle; you just need a special needle plate. This allows you to achieve a ribbon effect or experiment with two thread colors to create three-dimensional effects.

Tool-free assembly and disassembly of feet

The presser feet and needle plate attach and remove without tools. Quick, easy, and hassle-free. Creativity without limits.

QUILTING FRAMES AND DESKS FOR Q24 MACHINES

The BERNINA longarm Q24 is a sewing machine that can only be used with BERNINA "PRO" quilting frames. The standard equipment does not include a frame. It is required for operation. The machine is not compatible with BERNINA Studio Frames, nor can it be mounted on a BERNINA desk or table.

Compatible BERNINA quilting frames:

1. BERNINA PRO Small Quilting Frame - 270 cm
2. BERNINA PRO Classic Quilting Frame - 363 cm
3. BERNINA PRO Large Quilting Frame - 393 cm

Additional features of the Q24 model

The BERNINA Q24 longarm allows for cooperation with optional systems such as:

• BERNINA pantograph
  A special pantograph kit allows you to quilt according to your chosen pattern – simply move the laser pointer over the printed template, and the machine precisely reproduces its shape on the quilted fabric. Alternatively, you can use templates with carved patterns, along which the metal pointer moves. The entire system is mounted on the rear of the machine, and an additional screen provides full control over the longarm's operation.
  
  
• BERNINA Q-Matic System
  Q-matic is an automated quilting system for BERNINA Q-series sewing machines that enables precise, automatic quilting on a quilting frame. With an intuitive interface and hundreds of pre-made patterns, it allows you to easily create both simple and complex quilt projects.
