The overlock foot is the most commonly used machine foot, apart from the zipper foot. It is used in all machines from model Husqvarna E10, Husqvarna E20, Emerald 116/118. The foot allows you to use elastic stitches (in the E10 model it is also additional stitches G, H in the E20 I, Q model) for overcasting and finishing the edges of fabrics. The foot, in addition to a great facilitation in the form of a ruler along which the material is guided, has one more important function. Inside, it has an additional pin on which the threads are deposited first and then gently slide onto the fabric. Thanks to this, the threads do not pull and wrinkle the fabric. Of course, the overlock stitch in the machine is a substitute for a real overlock, but remember that an overlock is a machine that has 4 or 5 threads and the machine has only two upper and lower threads.
