Hydrofoil for computer embroidery (thin 20μm)
Hydrofoil is a soluble embroidery stabilizer that completely "disappears" when exposed to water . The thickness of this hydrofilm is 20 μm . There is a so-called "thin" hydrofilm. This particular type of embroidery hydrofoil is intended for use on top of the material on which we embroider. A thin hydrofoil is used to prevent the embroidery from unsightly "drown" in the material.
Recommended for embroidery on towels, fleeces, blankets, wall hangings, stuffed animals, furs, etc. Easy to use, suitable for use in any computer embroidery machine.
The thin hydrofoil is intended for embroidery on materials with hair, fluffy materials, fur or materials with irregular and uneven texture. It is especially recommended for embroidery on towels, fleeces, blankets, etc. A piece of hydrofoil, slightly larger than the size of the target pattern, is placed on the material at the place of embroidery. This piece of hydrofoil is a barrier that prevents the embroidery from "drown" in our material. After removing it from the hoop, the excess hydrofoil is removed from the material and its remnants are dissolved with lukewarm water. The embroidery remains nicely exposed.
Thin hydrofoil is also useful when embroidering on materials with a very loose weave or very thin, as it provides additional reinforcement of the embroidery and the material.
Hydrofoil is also available in a reinforced version with a thickness of 80 μm. It is then used underneath the fabric and fastened in the hoop. It allows for proper stabilization of the material during embroidery. After dissolving it, the embroidery on both sides of the fabric (left and right side) looks the same. This is useful, for example, when embroidering towels.
