Good to know:

For easier identification of needles for household machines unpacked, SCHMETZ uses color markings on the butt of the buttstock.
- - UNIVERSAL (STANDARD) - no markings
- - JERSEY BALL POINT (WITH A BALL - for jersey and knitted fabrics) - orange color
- - STRETCH - yellow
- - JEANS/DENIM - blue
- - MICROTEX (for microfiber and silk) - purple
- - EMBROIDERY ( with a larger stitch for embroidery) - red
- - OUILTING (for quilting and patchwork) - green
Stocking test
If you are sewing fabrics that are susceptible to damage (especially knitted fabrics) and you are not sure if the needle tip will damage the fabric, use j simple test. Prick the stretched (old) stocking with the needle several times, if the stitches do not stick, sew without fear!
How to store the needles
Needles should be stored in original packaging - never loose, as this causes damage to the tip, which means irreversible losses in the form of material damage ..
We invite you to purchase needles for sewing various materials, additional spools and machine feet. You can find everything in the category "Accessories"
