NOTE! - the presser foot does not fit older type machines with a high presser foot holder Singer / Łucznik class 400/700.

The gathering foot gathers fabric or gathers and joins gathered fabric to a straight piece. Suitable for light to medium weight fabrics.

We use a straight stitch length of 3-6, with the needle positioned on the left. The longer the stitch, the more gathered the fabric will be.

1. Attach the gathering foot.

2. Gathering : Place the fabric under the presser foot and sew. For a stronger gather, increase the upper thread tension.

3. Gathering and stitching in one operation:

-Place the fabric to be gathered under the presser foot, right side up.

-Place the fabric to which the gathered ruffle is to be sewn into the groove of the foot, right side down.
