Cord/cord sewing foot for use with BERNINA overlock machines
Thanks to this foot, we can easily sew a piece of string into the hem. In this way, we can effectively strengthen the hem of the material. We can also decorate our projects with string or cord.

In this online tutorial on BERNINA presser feet, well show you the Corded Foot for BERNINA overlockers. This foot allows you to sew thin cords, knitting needles, fishing line, pearl thread, or fine yarn into a rolled hem. Its perfect for reinforced edges, standing ruffles, or formable bows. The foot has two cord guides—one in the front and one in the center. Feed the cord through the U-shaped guide in the center, then through the front guide before lowering the presser foot. Tip: Hold the end of the cord for the first few stitches to ensure a neat start to the seam.

How to sew cords using the cording foot on a BERNINA overlocker
In this video, well show you how to sew cords using overlock cording feet. The cording foot allows you to quickly and easily create a variety of practical and decorative edgings by sewing cords of various diameters. The cord guide allows you to feed and sew cords up to 2 mm in diameter. The machine can be set for a 3- or 2-thread rolled hem, a 3-thread picot stitch, or a 3-thread narrow seam. A cutting width of 5.5 to 6 mm is suitable for thin cords and monofilament. Cords with a diameter of 1 to 2 mm require a wider cutting width to ensure the fabric rolls smoothly.
