The bobbin thread (underneath the base thread) is a thread wound onto a bobbin, which is then inserted into the embroidery machine's bobbin. Its properties and quality determine the appearance of the embroidery and the comfort of working with the machine. Therefore, high-quality underneath threads are the foundation for high-quality embroidery . In computer embroidery, we usually wind a special bobbin thread (white or black) onto the embroidery machine's bobbin. We use colored embroidery threads as the upper thread. Only when embroidering a design that will be visible from both sides, do we wind colored embroidery threads into the bobbin. This is useful, for example, when embroidering on towels or cloths.

What is white embroidery thread used for?
Lower thread, also known as underspool or backing thread, is designed for use in the bobbins of both industrial and home computerized embroidery machines. This thin thread allows for aesthetically pleasing embroidery on any type of fabric. Because it's very smooth, it doesn't jam when unwinding from the bobbin or when feeding it from the bobbin. It's also resistant to tearing, thus increasing the comfort of working with the embroidery machine.
When using a white backing thread, the underside (invisible) of the embroidery is white, and the upper (visible) side is colored. White backing thread is used for most embroidery on white and light-colored fabrics. Only when embroidering on very dark or black fabrics should a black backing thread be used.
The backing thread differs from the top thread in both composition and thickness. Wherever possible, we should use special backing threads in the embroidery machine's bobbin case.
The thread can be wound onto the embroidery machine's bobbin either using the bobbin winder built into the machine or using an external bobbin winder used in industrial embroidery machines.
The threads are 200 gauge and can be used with any type of fabric. They work with needles ranging from 70" to 90".
The threads are antistatic, lint-free, and free from knots and bulges. They are perfectly smooth.
