Needle positioning

Needle positioning is a useful feature that allows you to sew precisely in difficult places. Particularly useful when sewing zippers or hemming with tape. We have 11 needle positions. We set the position with the slider on the front casing of the machine.

START/STOP function

A function that allows the machine to operate without using the speed controller . Use the Start/Stop buttons to start and finish sewing.

Positioning the needle in the UP/DOWN position

Up/down needle stop position selection button. A very convenient function that allows you to continue sewing after reaching, for example, a corner. We keep the needle inserted into the fabric. We turn the fabric and continue sewing in the other direction.

Automatic button size measurement system

The Bernina B540 machine has an automatic button diameter measurement function. We place the button on the screen and turn the "joystick" knob to adjust the size of the hole that is set.

Automatic and manual buttonhole sewing

The Bernina B540 machine and embroidery machine makes as many as 14 types of buttonholes automatically to the size of a button. You can also use the buttonhole function manually "step by step"

Programmable FIX function

The FIX function automatically binds the threads at the end of the stitch and protects against unraveling. In the Bernina machine, we can program the number of stitches for tying. Just turn it on with a button. The activated function remembers to tie the threads.

Sewing with a double needle

We can use a double needle with various spacings of 2.5 - 6.0 mm for sewing. This way we will obtain a two-needle straight stitch. The machine also has protection against inserting the wrong double needle.

STOP function

We can stop the machine at any time.

Stitch length and width adjustment

Smooth adjustment of stitch length and width. The maximum stitch width is 9.0 mm. The adjustments are very accurate, stitch length up to 0.05 mm, width up to 0.1 mm.

Mirror image of the pattern

Amazing possibilities of creating new patterns using the mirror image function. We can use reflection in two planes, i.e. horizontal and vertical. Unusual compositions are then created.

Automatic STOP after the bobbin is full

The machine stops automatically when the bobbin is full .

Button sewing program

The Bernina 540 sewing machine has a special program for sewing buttons.

Simple attachment of feet

Allows for easy replacement of presser feet. We tilt the lever up and the presser foot falls onto the fabric. Then put the new one on with an upward movement and it will automatically "latch" and the foot is ready for use.

Changing parameters while sewing

In the Bernina B540 machine and embroidery machine, you can change stitch parameters while sewing.
